MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan wrestling team will open the 2017-18 season with a pair of in-state open tournaments, the first at Michigan State, the second at Eastern Michigan.
The Chippewas, who are ranked 18th in the WIN Magazine Preseason Power Rankings and Index, unveiled their schedule today, Thursday. It includes trips to two of the most prestigious tournaments in the land, the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, hosted by Northwestern.
Also on the schedule are nonconference duals with Virginia Tech, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Purdue, Southern Illinois and Michigan.
