JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Despite a powerful start, the Central Michigan lacrosse team fell to Jacksonville, 17-5, in an Atlantic Sun Conference matchup on Sunday at the Dolphins’ D.B. Milne Field.

The Chippewas are 4-9, 1-5 ASUN. Jacksonville remains undefeated in conference play at 8-4, 5-0 ASUN. CMU will look to break its four-game losing streak as they play host to Old Dominion (5-5, 1-2 ASUN) on Thursday (7 p.m.).

“Looking back on those first 10 minutes on how we opened up against Jacksonville will give us a boost,” CMU coach Sara Tisdale said.
