BOSTON – An inability to move the ball with consistency, untimely penalties and failure to neutralize a dangerous Boston College punt return man spelled doom for the Central Michigan football team on Saturday.

And another slow start.

Michael Walker set up three Boston College touchdowns with long punt returns on Saturday as the Eagles handed the Chippewas a 28-8 nonconference loss before 27.030 at the Eagles’ Alumni Stadium.

The loss, CMU’s third straight, left the Chippewas at 2-3. They return to Mid-American Conference play next Saturday at Ohio, which took a 3-1 record into its nonconference game on Saturday at UMass.
