LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – All in all, not a bad start for the Central Michigan golf team.
In fact, it was the best start to a spring season since the program’s resurrection in 2014-15.
Kristen Wolfe, Natalie Johnson and Jami Laude each won their matches on Tuesday as the Chippewas closed the season-opening Mid-American Conference Match Play Challenge with a 3-2 victory over Eastern Michigan at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club.
The Chippewas finished 2-1 in the event. They return to action Feb.
