MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Central Michigan baseball team got a solid start from freshman right-hander Logan Buczkowski and scored a season-high 14 runs in downing Lawrence Tech, 14-1, on Monday at Theunissen Stadium.

It was the Chippewas’ (4-15-1) second-consecutive victory. They are scheduled to visit East Lansing to take on Michigan State (6-12) on Wednesday (3:05 p.m) in a nonleague game, and then are slated to open Mid-American Conference play with a three-game series this weekend at Northern Illinois.

ON THE MOUND
Buczkowski (1-0), a Mount Pleasant native, did not allow a hit in going four innings in his first Theunissen Stadium start.
