Chippewas Look To Topple Another Power Five Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Two-and-oh has a nice ring to it.

John Bonamego would prefer that his Central Michigan football team just as soon forget it.

“We want to stay focused on what’s in front of us,” Bonamego said as he prepared his team this week to play at Syracuse. “So, the first two games, they really don’t matter anymore. I’m glad we won them, proud we won them, but that has no bearing whatsoever on what has to take place this week.”

The Chippewas (2-0) take on the Orange (1-1) on Saturday in Syracuse’s Carrier Dome, a place CMU fell, 30-27, in overtime two years ago.
