The Central Michigan women’s basketball team is scheduled to play at Oakland in a nonconference game on Sunday (1 p.m.), the first of four consecutive road games for the Chippewas.
FAST START
At 5-1, the Chippewas are off to the program’s best start since 2005-06, when they start started 6-0 and went on to win nine of its first 10. Since dropping the season opener to Purdue, 79-69, CMU has won five consecutive games, topped by Thursday’s 96-47 victory at home over Aquinas.
