Coming off of last week’s second place finish at the Eastern Michigan Triangular, the Central Michigan track and field teams are looking for better performances at the second annual Jet’s Pizza Invitational at Saginaw Valley State.
“The frustration for me, coming off of last meet, is we were close in a couple races and we didn’t finish the job,” said Head Coach Mark Guthrie. “I’m never happy with that. If you’re in (the race) you have got to beat some people.”
The invitational this week is a two-day event beginning Friday with the multi-events — women’s 60-meter hurdles and 800-meter run, men’s 60-meter dash and the men’s and women’s high jump, long jump and shot put preliminaries — and ending Saturday with running and field event finals beginning at 11 a.
