Chippewas Fall To Toledo On Homecoming

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Toledo slogged its way to 342 rushing yards on Saturday in handing Central Michigan a 30-10 loss before 15,572 on homecoming at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

The loss dropped the Chippewas to 3-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference. CMU plays a league game at Ball State next Saturday.

Terry Swanson rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns as the Rockets (5-1, 2-0) moved the ball effectively on the ground in a game played in steady rain. Shakif Seymour added 117 yards and a touchdown for Toledo, which averaged 6.
