MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan played giveaway on Saturday, and against one of the Mid-American Conference's best pitchers, it was simply too much to overcome.
The Chippewas committed four errors in falling to Eastern Michigan, 5-2, in the second game of a three-game MAC series at Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium. The Chippewas will look to salvage the third and final game of the series on Sunday (1:05 p.m.).
CMU slipped to 19-25-1, 11-9 MAC. Eastern is 18-26, 11-9.
Eastern Michigan won Friday's opener, 7-6, in 12 innings, rallying from a 6-1 deficit.
