EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State started the bottom of the first inning with four consecutive hits in seizing a 3-0 lead, and that’s all the Spartans would need as they handed Central Michigan an 11-2 nonconference baseball loss on Tuesday at the Spartans’ McLane Stadium.
The Chippewas (8-12) play Missouri State in their home opener on Friday (3:05 p.m.) at Theunissen Stadium. CMU and Missouri State are scheduled to play a three-game series. Saturday’s game is set for 2:05 p.m. with the finale on Sunday slated to begin at 1:05 p.
