ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan collected 15 hits off of five Central Michigan pitchers on Wednesday in handing the Chippewas a 13-4 nonconference loss at Ray Fisher Stadium.
The Chippewas (10-14) are scheduled to play Miami (Ohio) at home this weekend in their Mid-American Conference-opening series. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday (3:05 p.m.) at Theunissen Stadium.
Michigan (18-6) seized a 5-0 lead after two innings on Wednesday and blew the game open with a seven-run seventh.
Zach Gilles had two hits and Robert Greenman doubled to lead the Chippewas, who finished with eight hits.
