LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas scored three second-half goals to defeat the Central Michigan women’s soccer team, 3-0, in the final game of the Rock Chalk Invitational on Sunday. CMU finished its opening weekend 0-1-1 after tying Tulsa, 1-1, on Friday.
The Chippewas will look forward to the future in preparation for their home opener at the CMU Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium, where they will play host to Robert Morris (0-2) on Friday (3 p.m.).
“We’re excited to get back home to play in front of the fans,” CMU coach Peter McGahey said.
