The Central Michigan University men’s basketball team lost a heartbreaker at home Saturday evening, falling 109-100 in overtime to Ball State.
With former Chippewas and current Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown in attendance along with a sold out crowd of 5,412 at McGuirk Arena, Central Michigan was unable to move back into a first-place tie in the Mid-American Conference West Division and instead dropped its third consecutive game.
Ball State improves to a MAC West-best 17-10 overall and 8-6 in the conference, while CMU falls to 16-11 and 6-8.
“It’s a similar story,” Central Michigan head coach Keno Davis said.
