ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico scored nine runs in the first inning on Thursday and went on to hand Central Michigan a 20-9 loss in the opener of a four-game nonconference baseball series at the Lobos’ Santa Ana Star Field.
Both teams are 2-3. Game two of the series is Friday at 8 p.m. Sophomore left-hander Tyler Hankins is scheduled to start for CMU against right-hander Justin Slaten.
