MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan wrestling team is ranked 18th and four Chippewas are ranked in their respective weight classes in WIN Magazine’s Preseason Tournament Power Index and Rankings.
The Chippewas received 17 points and are the second Mid-American Conference team in the rankings. Missouri, with 51 ½ points, is fifth.
Penn State, the defending national champion, is ranked first with 118, followed by Ohio State (111 ½), Michigan (93) and Oklahoma State (75 ½). Buffalo, with 13 points, is tied for 22nd and is the only other MAC school ranked in the top 25.
