BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Central Michigan wrestling team surrendered bonus points in three of its six losses on Friday in dropping a 23-16 nonconference dual to South Dakota State.
The 19th-ranked Chippewas (1-2) are scheduled to wrestle on Sunday (3 p.m.) at North Dakota State. South Dakota State, which is ranked 17th, improved to 4-2.
The Chippewas got a pin from sophomore Logan Parks at 165 pounds and a 10-2 major-decision victory from junior Justin Oliver (149). CMU’s Mason Smith (141) and Jordan Ellingwood (184) both won by decision.
