Chippewa Soccer Picked To Finish Second In West

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan women’s soccer team was picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference West Division in a poll of league coaches.

The Chippewas finished behind two-time defending division and overall league champion Ball State in the poll. The Cardinals received seven of 12 first-place votes, which CMU was picked to finish first on three ballots.

Western Michigan was picked to finish third, followed by Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois and Toledo.

Kent State, the defending MAC Tournament champion, was an overwhelming pick in the East Division as the Golden Flashes finished with 10 first-place votes.
