MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Alex Borglin captured several awards, including the Co-Most Valuable Player, at the Central Michigan baseball team’s annual banquet.
Borglin, a senior shortstop from Rochester, shared the MVP with junior outfielder Daniel Jipping.
Borglin was also named the team captain and earned the Chippewa Award, which is presented to the player who best represents the program’s mission statement.
Senior catcher Robert Greenman and sophomore first baseman Evan Kratt shared the Most Improved Player Award, while junior pitcher Colton Bradley and Greenman shared the Kevin Young Memorial Endowment, which is named for the late Kevin Young, who earned the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year Award in 1994.
