Central Michigan standout running back out for season

Central Michigan was dealt a blow this week as sophomore running back Romello Ross was ruled out for the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered during a practice.

Ross burst onto the scene midway through the season as a true freshman in 2015 after injuries to other running backs forced Chippewas coaches to take away his planned redshirt.

After finding his footing as a Division I running back, Ross exploded in his final two games and was in the mix to be one of the primary ball carriers this fall.

“You hate to lose anybody,” Central Michigan second-year head coach John Bonamego said.
