Central Michigan runs win streak to six, coach Sue Guevara honored afterward

The numbers don’t lie – it was not the most aesthetically pleasing basketball game to witness.

Central Michigan’s women’s basketball team made only 32.8 percent of its shots and endured a second quarter in which it managed only seven points.

But somehow, some way the Chippewas carved a path to their sixth consecutive victory as they topped Toledo 72-61 at McGuirk Arena.

Additionally, CMU snapped a five-game losing streak versus the Rockets while improving to 20-6 overall and a Mid-American Conference-best 12-2 mark.
