Marcus Keene scored 11 of his 41 points in overtime Saturday as the Central Michigan men’s basketball team gutted out a 105-98 victory over Kent State at the Golden Flashes M.A.C. Center.
Braylon Rayson added 26 points and Josh Kozinski had 18 as the Chippewas won their third consecutive game, evening their MAC record at 4-4. They are 13-7 overall. Kent State is 11-10, 3-5.
It was CMU’s first win at Kent State since the 1996-97 season.
Jimmy Hall, who scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Kent State, scored on a tip-in with 2 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game 83-83 and send it to overtime.
