The last two weeks have re-energized the Central Michigan football season after it opened the Mid-American Conference season with a 39-point thumping at home by rival Western Michigan.
While a 24-21 home victory over Ball State and last Saturday’s 34-28 triple overtime thriller win at Northern Illinois were both uneven performances in nature, there was plenty of good the Chippewas were able to take away from the back-to-back triumphs which moved their MAC record to 2-1.
Now comes a steep road test at Toledo (5-1, 2-0), a football program CMU head coach John Bonamego has the utmost respect for.
