Central Michigan junior guard Marcus Keene announced Tuesday morning he intends to forego his final year of college eligibility to pursue a professional basketball career.

Keene, a transfer from Youngstown State, led Division I in scoring this season with a 30 points per game average. He became the first D-I player in 20 years to average 30 points, scoring 41 points in a season-ending 116-106 double overtime loss to Kent State in the Mid-American Conference Tournament to secure the achievement.
