Central Michigan head coach John Bonamego sounds off on satellite camp ban

The immediate banning of satellite camps by the NCAA last week has caused quite a stir around the country.

While it is seen by most as a win-win for the Southeastern Conference due to what it believed were unfair recruiting advantages, the issue has plenty of talking points that directly impact Mid-American Conference football programs as well as the rest of the Group of Five.

Central Michigan has had three camps within state lines – Detroit area, west Michigan and Upper Peninsula – that are no longer allowed under the new NCAA ruling.

Chippewas second-year head coach John Bonamego showed his displeasure for the satellite camp ban following Tuesday morning’s practice.
