DETROIT — Mid-American Conference Media Day was far less grueling for Central Michigan head coach John Bonamego Thursday than it was one year ago.
In 2015, Bonamego entered his first year as the head coach at his alma mater and going into MAC Media Day there was no doubt he would be surrounded by curious media looking for a hot quote or two.
But there were questions as to whether Bonamego would even be able to make MAC Media Day as he had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer only two months prior and was in the midst of treatment.
