Keno Davis saw the full version of Marcus Keene’s career-best day later than everyone else at McGuirk Arena Saturday afternoon.
The Central Michigan men’s basketball head coach was ejected with 13:21 remaining and missed the dazzling show the NCAA’s leading scorer put on as he scored a career-best 50 points in a 101-92 victory over Miami.
It was a McGuirk Arena record for points in a game and only three points from equaling the CMU record of 53 points set by Tommie Johnson in 1987.
Davis did not watch the end of the game live on a television monitor or computer as he preferred to refresh a game tracker and hear the noise of the Chippewas’ fans as Keene carved his masterpiece.
