Central Michigan officially held its first “Minnesota practice” Friday afternoon.
Following the Chippewas’ regular season finale 35-28 home victory over Eastern Michigan, time was taken for the players to rest and relax before embarking on the 15-practice allotment before the Quick Lane Bowl versus Minnesota on Dec. 28.
Five of the practices were spent solely with redshirt players as valuable extra time could be spent by the CMU coaching staff to get them prepared for the 2016 campaign. On Saturday, the full Central Michigan roster participated in a pair of tune-up practices prior to finals week.
With finals out of the way Friday, Central Michigan began preparations on the practice field for its upcoming game at Ford Field.
