Another week, same steady approach.
The Central Michigan football team got the bounce-back win it needed last week when it held off Ball State, 24-21, ending a two-game losing streak.
The Chippewas (4-2 overall, 1-1 MAC) go to Northern Illinois on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) looking to remain in the hunt in the Mid-American Conference.
The Huskies are 1-5, 1-1 MAC. They lost their first four games – the first time they started 0-4 since 1999 – before defeating Ball State, 31-24, in their MAC opener two weeks ago. They lost at Western Michigan, 45-30, last week.
