MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Sean Bunting has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.
Bunting, a sophomore from Clinton Township, returned a blocked field goal 60 yards for a touchdown as time ran out in the first half, swinging momentum in CMU’s favor in its 26-23 MAC victory over Ohio on Saturday.
Bunting, a starter at cornerback, made a career-high nine tackles in the victory. He was also credited with one-half tackle-for-loss and a pass breakup. He has recorded 31 tackles on the season.
