Bonamego: Consistency Critical For Chippewas

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Consistency has been the buzzword for the Central Michigan football team this week as it prepared for its Mid-American Conference opener at home against Miami (Ohio).

Dropped passes and inopportune penalties that hindered the Chippewas' ability to sustain drives were major concerns coming out of last week's 41-17 loss at Syracuse.

"We left a lot of plays on the field," CMU coach John Bonamego said. "We weren't able to keep drives going, which resulted in us putting our defense back out there time and again.
