Following Saturday’s 88-71 home victory over defending Mid-American Conference champion Buffalo Central Michigan head coach Sue Guevara could have yammered on about how significant the victory was and how it set her team up well and how important it was to gain a mental edge on a defending champion and on and on and on.
Naturally, during Saturday’s postgame interview, a pointed question was directed in that general direction and Guevara wasn’t having any of it.
To Guevara the fact that her team beat the Bulls was nice as was the fact that the Chippewas had the second-best day in program history at the free throw stripe by going 37-for-40.
