MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Gabriella Beauvais was named the female Mid-American Conference Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational at Louisville.
Beauvais, a redshirt sophomore from Monona, Wis. won the 400-meter dash with a career-best 53.80 seconds, a number that moved her atop the MAC Outdoor Performance List.
She was the lone runner in the event to break the 54-second mark. She won by more than 4-10ths of a second. Beauvais ranks 76th on the NCAA Combined Qualifying List.
