CINCINNATI, Ohio – Xavier broke a 4-4 tie with a two-run eighth inning Sunday in handing Central Michigan a 7-4 loss in the final game of a three-game non-conference baseball series at the Musketeers’ Hayden Field.
CMU (4-15) dropped all three games to Xavier on the road trip. The Chippewas will host Bowling Green (6-10) on Tuesday at 3:05 p.m. in the Chippewas’ home opener. Though both CMU and Bowling Green are members of the Mid-American Conference, it is a non-league game.
Brady Williams walked Andre Jerningan and Chris Givin to start the Xavier sixth.
