MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – While winter stubbornly refuses to loosen its grip on the Midwest, the Central Michigan baseball team takes the second of its three early season trips to warmer climes this weekend.
CMU will partake in the Grand Canyon University Classic in Phoenix beginning on Thursday (3 p.m.) against the host Antelopes.
The Chippewas will play St. Mary’s (Calif.) College on Friday (2 p.m.), face Grand Canyon in a rematch on Saturday (8 p.m.), and close the event on Sunday (1 p.m.) against Tennessee.
CMU (0-3) opened the season last week by dropping three games at Arkansas.
