MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The first official event of the Central Michigan baseball program’s fall schedule is Scout Day, which is slated for Sunday, Sept. 17 at Theunissen Stadium (11 a.m.).

The public is welcome and there is no admission. Scouts representing more than a dozen Major League Baseball organizations will be on hand to evaluate Chippewa position players and pitchers. An exhibition game is slated to begin at approximately noon.

“The day helps further develop the relationships that we have with our scouts in the area,” said CMU coach Steve Jaksa, who guided the Chippewas to the Mid-American Conference West Division title last spring.
