MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – It hasn’t happened overnight, and it hasn’t been easy.
But after a 5-23 start, the Central Michigan baseball team is still in the thick of it as it turns the corner and heads for home in the second half of the Mid-American Conference schedule.
The Chippewas stand 11-30 overall, and are just a game below .500 (5-7) in the MAC. They are sixth in the overall league standings – the top eight make the conference tournament – heading into a three-game series this weekend at Eastern Michigan (15-22, 6-6).
