MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Sure, a win or two – or more – would have been nice.
But in the grand scheme of things, the first seven games of the Central Michigan baseball team’s season served their purpose.
“We’ve seen all of our guys play a little bit, mixed and matched in different spots,” coach Steve Jaksa said.
The Chippewas return to warmer climes – this time Florida is the destination – for eight games in 10 days over Spring Break.
CMU will play three games beginning Friday in the Westin Lake Mary Stetson Invitational in DeLand.
