YPSILANTI, Mich. – Jordan Atienza and Drew Marten placed first in their respective weight classes to lead the Central Michigan wrestling team on Saturday at the Eastern Michigan Open at the Eagles’ Convocation Center.
A total of 13 Chippewas earned a top-six finish. No team scores were kept.
The Chippewas entertain Michigan State at McGuirk Arena on Friday, Nov. 17 in their first dual of the season.
Atienza, a junior, went 3-0 to win the 197-pound weight class in the Open Division on Saturday at EMU.
