Three Chippewas were individually honored and Central Michigan Athletics received its second-consecutive Institutional Sportsmanship Award Wednesday evening at the Mid-American Conference Spring Meetings in Cleveland.
The Institutional Sportsmanship Award goes to the university that exemplifies the core values of the conference's mission statement. Each of the 12 MAC institutions received a vote.
Student-athletes Breanne Lesnar and Ryan Heeke received the Medal of Excellence Award from the conference. While Mary Weston, former CMU instructor, coach and administrator, was inducted into the MAC Hall of Fame.
One male and one female athlete from each MAC school is given the Medal of Excellence Award.
