MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Twelve Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference women’s soccer team.
Three Chippewas, Lauren Sherry, McKay Matheson and Savannah Beetcher, earned the honor for the third time in their respective careers. All three are seniors.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must carry a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of her team’s contests.
Beetcher is an exercise science: kinesiology major with a 3.82 grade point average; Matheson a mechanical engineering major with a 3.
