This week in Spartan athletics, the men's soccer and volleyball teams will each play their first home matches of the campaign, while women's soccer and football will hit the road for the first time this season. In addition, the women's tennis team will get started with its fall schedule over the weekend.
Volleyball
After going 3-1 at the Great Lakes Cross Over to open the season, Case Western Reserve (3-1) will start a five-match homestand inside Horsburgh Gymnasium this week. First-year outside hitter Kalli Wall leads the team with 36 kills, junior libero Alyssa Blessinger has a team-leading 68 digs, and senior setter Sara Rogers has connected on 16 service aces to pace the squad.
