Case Western Reserve University sophomore forward Umar Rashid was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week after helping the 22nd-ranked Spartans clinch their first-ever University Athletic Association Championship with a pair of wins over the weekend.
Rashid averaged a team-high 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over the two contests. He shot 54.2% overall (13-24), including 56.3% (9-16) from three-point range, and 60.0% (3-5) from the free throw line. He added 1.0 assists, 0.5 blocks, and 0.5 steals per game during the weekend. During Friday night's 75-74 win over #22 WashU, Rashid scored 12 points and added a team-high eight rebounds with an assist and a block.
