Case Western Reserve University graduate student guard Mitch Prendergast was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for Men's Basketball after leading the Spartans to a 98-90 win at Adrian College on Saturday.
Prendergast scored a career-high 26 points during his 30 minutes on the court in the win. He shot 10-of-19 overall and four-of-nine from behind the three-point line, while adding four rebounds and four assists. Prendergast played particularly well in the second half, scoring 17 of his 26 points during the final 20 minutes of the game.
Through nine games this season, Prendergast is averaging a team-high 17.
