Case Western Reserve University first-year pitcher Reece Marley was named the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the week, after his standout start against Denison University on Sunday afternoon.
Marley did not allow an earned run in his season-long seven-inning start in the Spartans' 8-2 victory over the Big Red. He yielded just one unearned run on four hits in the game (all singles) and struck out four, while not walking a batter in the contest. The left-handed pitcher picked up the win in the contest to improve to 2-1 with a 4.32 earned run average this season.
