Case Western Reserve University junior left-handed pitcher Scott Kutschke was named the relief pitcher on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week, following his performance during the Spartans' 11-4 win over Allegheny College at Nobby's Ballpark in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.
Kutschke entered the game with two on and two outs in the first inning and the team trailing 2-0, and proceeded to induce an inning-ending groundout on his first pitch of the contest. He then retired the next nine batters he faced in the game in order, picking up the victory in the opening contest of the doubleheader.
