Case Western Reserve University sophomore pitcher Tyler Horvath was named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 7 Second Team, while graduate student pitcher Evan Faxon was selected to the Third Team, as announced by the website on Monday morning.
This was the first career D3baseball.com all-region honor for both Horvath and Faxon. Earlier in the year, both shared the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Year award and were named to the All-UAA First Team.
In his first year at CWRU as a graduate transfer, Faxon set a program record and paced all conference pitchers with 80 strikeouts during the campaign.
