Case Western Reserve University senior left-handed pitcher Nick Denove allowed one run over seven innings of work on Saturday afternoon to help lead the Spartans to an 11-1 win over John Carroll University at Nobby's Ballpark.
The win raised the Spartans' record to 14-13 overall, while John Carroll dropped to 9-11 following the loss.
Denove failed to walk a batter in the game and struck out a career-high 10 batter. He picked up the win to improve to 1-3 on the campaign, while lowering his ERA to 4.54.
The CWRU offense totaled 12 hits on Saturday and drew an additional seven walks.
