The Case Western Reserve University football team has announced that it will return to the field on April 8, 2021, as the Spartans will face the Battling Bishops of Ohio Wesleyan University. The game will take place at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio, and is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
The Spartans are coming off a 9-2 campaign in 2019, which included a Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship and a berth into the NCAA Division III playoffs. However, like most NCAA Division III teams, the Spartans lost their fall season as a result of the pandemic.
Ohio Wesleyan, which also did not play in the fall, stands at 0-1 on the season following a 35-21 loss at home against DePauw on March 6.
