The Case Western Reserve University baseball team earned the Team Academic Excellence Award from the American Baseball Coaches Association for its work in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year.
To be recognized, teams must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale. The Spartans finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.662. In addition, 21 members of the team received UAA Spring All-Academic honors, given to student-athletes who have completed at least one academic year with a cumulative GPA higher than 3.30.
Case Western Reserve won the University Athletic Association Championship for the fourth time in program history in 2022, finishing the year with a 23-17 overall record against the toughest schedule in Division III.
